Tori
Larsen is drawn to beautiful things that are sometimes also dark things. She enjoys extreme details, whimsical images, and stark, surreal juxtapositions that create strange new meanings. Her work is inspired by human beings and how sad, silly, complicated, and yet exquisite a life can be. Her current projects are informed by a forced collision of art, politics, and the often absurd filter upon life which accompanies a quarterlife crisis. For this same reason, Tori also likes the writings of Kerouac, independent foreign films, all that is wabi-sabi, and veganism. Tori is addicted to travel, the arts, anthropology, adrenaline, and adventure. She is happiest when with a camera or paintbrush in hand and hopes to focus her creativity on a successful career in art.
Tori is also a recent honours graduate of York University's School of Fine Arts. She currently works in the film industry in Toronto and is represented by the Core Literary Agency.
